Dahanu is an extensive neat and orderly beach. Dahanu- Bordi stretches over 17 kms in Mumbai in Thane district. Earlier it was a barren land but it has flourished over years with the support of Irani settlers that were plain and down to earth people. Dahanu is renowned for its chickoo and fruit orchards.
And if you are visiting Bordi, visit the Santoshi Maata temple and Mahalaxmi temple. If you have interest in historical serials then Bordi has Vrindavan studios where the India's mega-historical serials like Chanakya and Prithviraj Chauhan have been shot.
Bordi is nearly 160 kms from the Bandra Flyover, Mumbai follow the National Highway 8 from Bandra that will straight away take you to Bordi.
One can board a train from Mumbai central or Borivali. Gholvad, next to Dahanu road station is the nearest station to Bordi. From there Bordi is just 2 kms. Hire an autorickshaw from there to reach Bordi.
One can fly down to Chhatrapati Shivajji international airport, Mumbai that is very well connected with all the countries in the world or Santacruz domestic airport that is connected to major cities of India.
