The institution aims at excellence in the field of education and provides value-based education with a goal of elevating the social status of the students. It is a mission directed towards the realisation of a dream of the College founder.

C B M College offers courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include-- B.A in History, B.A in Economics, B.Com, B.Sc in Mathematics, B.Sc in Statistics, B.Sc in Chemistry, B.Sc in Computer Science, B.Com, B.B.M (Bachelor of Business Management), B.Sc in Computer Science. In postgraduate level, courses like M.B.E (Master of Business Economics), M.Sc in Mathematics, M.Sc in Chemistry and M.Com is offered. One also can go for research programmes like-- M.Phil (Full Time) and also M.Phil and Ph.D, both in part time basis. CBM College has a well-stocked library with a huge collection of 28,255 books and also research journals and magazines.

For initiating further development, few advanced equipments like overhead projectors (CD projectors, VCD projectors), televisions are available. Besides the library subscribes to a multiple of weeklies, fortnightlies, magazines, and also few more fanzines. It is worth visiting for scholarly graduates, postgraduate students, research scholars and academicians.

C B M College houses state-of-the-art computer laboratories, which are quite spacious. Advanced configuration of Pentium 4 machine and software are installed. In fact the college possesses 24-hour lab facilitates for the students, including net browsing.

Outstation students can avail hostel accommodation. It can lodge 140 students. The new hostel building for male students is built in a fantastic locale, with a backdrop of the extensive Western Ghats on the south and west. Extra-curricular activities are given due attention, since these are beneficial for the overall growth of the students of C B M College. The college infact follows rules of the Bharathiar University that states that every student needs to participate in any one of the extra-curricular activities like NCC/ NSS/ SSL/ YRC/ Sports and Games for 2 years, other wise no degree shall be conferred to them.

In this way students take part wholeheartedly in activities like- campus cleaning, planting trees and watering, organising Blood Donation Camps, Blood Grouping Camps, General Medical Camps and AIDS awareness programmes, awareness programmes on social evils like alcoholism and Drug Abuse, celebration of days of national significance and also special days announced by the Govt., celebration of days like road-safety week, fuel conservation programme, environmental education programme, propagational activities for eradicating social evils like casteism, communalism, corruption, adulteration, hoarding, profiteering, untouchability, drug addiction, building school buildings at low cost, construction of sanitary latrines, urinals, construction of less expensive houses for the destitute, organising social awareness campaigns like `Grow-More Trees`, `Women Empowerment`, thereby contributing to the well being of the society, social service programmes at times of festivals and meals, helping the authorities for fast distribution of rations, medicines, clothes, special work programmes during emergency situation, assistance to the health authorities in vaccination and immunisation, supply of medicines, provide service in orphanages, old homes etc.
