Rajdhani College, formerly known as Government College, is a `constituent College` under Delhi University.

Rajdhani College, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, New DelhiRajdhani College is a `constituent College` under Delhi University, founded in 1964 by the then Delhi Administration. It was earlier named the Government College. The College took on its new name when the Delhi Administration enthroned the responsibility of its governance to an autonomous Governing Body.

Located at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Raja Garden, New Delhi - 110015, Rajdhani College is a pioneer institution that imparts education in the co-educational mode. A large number of students have enrolled their names in several courses like- B.Com (Hons.), B.A (Hons.) in English, Economics, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sanskrit and B. A. Programme. For Science aspirants the college offers B. Sc (Hons.) course in subjects like Mathematics, Physics Chemistry, and Electronics and the B. Sc Programme. One can also pursue post Graduate Courses in English, Hindi, History and Commerce as well. A team of efficient and highly qualified faculty maintains the excellent academic record of the college.

Special prizes are awarded to the students of Rajdhani College in order to motivate their morale. Dr. S.S.Rao Memorial Prize in Physics, Dr. N.K. Anand Memorial Prize in Chemistry, Shri Sultan Chand and Co. Memorial Scholarship in Commerce are worth mentioning.

Rajdhani College has a large, well-resourced library. Its huge collection of books surpasses 94,300 volumes in numerous subjects. The Library has enrolled subscription to several academic journals and periodicals. There is a reading Room built inside the library which accommodates seating arrangements for hundred students. It is open from 08.00 A.M to 08.00 P.M.

A handful of academic and cultural societies function within the premise of Rajdhani College with an objective to unfold the talent of the students and also cultivate interests in extra curricular activities. The college publishes a magazine called "Raka" where both faculty members and students display their creative zeal by composing crafty essays, articles, narratives and poems. The magazine carries three sections-one each in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. To create interest in social awareness programmes, two companies of National Cadet Corps ( NCC), the Infantry wing and the Naval wing have been formed. They are both controlled by accredited N.C.C Officers. Rajdhani College also has an N.C.C. wing for the female students, controlled by a female officer of N.C.C. The Students Union of Rajdhani College also is quite active.

Since sports helps a person to stay fit, Rajdhani College has arrangements for both outdoor and indoor games like Cricket Athletics, Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Carrom Board and so on. To lend monetary aid to worthy students, the college organises Students Aid Fun. Assistance is, in general bestowed upon either in the form of textbooks or in plain cash.

Medical facilities are also given to the students. The spacious and well-furnished college canteen serves refreshments to the students at affordable costs. Discipline is maintained in every possible way within the Rajdhani College. After taking admission in the college every student is required to abide by discipline and good conduct in and outside the college premises. Ragging is strictly banned. As per the Ordinances XV-B and XV-C of the University, infringement of disciplinary rules and acts of ragging are subject to punishment by law.
