Chapora Beach is located at a distance of ten kilometres from Mapusa in North Goa and is one of the most interesting beaches of Goa. A major attraction in the beach is the Chapora Fort. The other major beaches in the vicinity are Vagator Beach and the Anjuna Beach. Compared to other beaches in Northern Goa, Chapora is a popular destination among tourists visiting Goa. White sands, black lava rocks, swaying palms and the marvellous greenery characterize the Chapora beach.
Close to the Chapora beach there is a village, which is set on the estuary of the Chapora River, and close to the village there is a rocky hill where the Chapora Fort is situated. The best time to visit this place is from October to March.
