Lavender is a shrubby plant found on the coast of the Mediterranean especially the south France Italy Corsica and Yugoslavia. The Lavender oil a source of relaxation, and it excellent for children. It is wonderful for blending because one can use as it a modifier, middle note, or to cover any unpleasant oil whose therapeutic effect one would want to equalize in a blend. Because of its antipyretic and diaphoretic properties, it is excellent for fever. Lavender acts as carminative, diuretic, antispasmodic, anti depressant, antiseptic, analgesic, galactagogue, stimulant, balancing, diuretic, anti-convulsant, anti-depressant, anti-rheumatic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, bactericide, cordial, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, nervine, sedative and vulnerary. Lavender is the most recommended oil in aromatherapy. It also mixes well with all oils, but especially Citrus, Geranium, Rose, Neroli, Clove, Patchouli, Rosemary, Clarysage and Conifers; useful blender with a unpleasant or strong-smelling oil.
