Mhasla is a 'census town' situated in Raigarh district of the western state of India, Maharashtra. Geographically, the town is located between 18.13° North latitude and 73.12° East longitude, resting at a height of 93 metres (305 feet) above mean sea level. Located between Goregaon and Shrivardhan, Shrivardhan is located in the west of Mhasla at a distance of 30 kilometers and Pune is located in the northeast at a distance of 100 kilometers. The nearest ' access points' are the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and the Goregaon Road Railway Station.
The Indian Census report of 2001 provides detail information about Mhasla, Maharashtra. According to the report, the population of Mhasla in Maharashtra was 8762. Males consisted of 49% of the population while the female population comprised of the remaining 51%. In Mhasla, 15% of the population is less than six years of age. To be specific, the male literacy rate is 76% and the female literacy rate is 70%.
