Melvisharam is a town situated in Vellore district of the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. Strategically located on the N H 46, between Vellore and Arcot, it is about 17 km from Vellore, 7 km. from the historical town of Arcot and 5 km from the industrial town of Ranipet. The nearest airport is the Chennai International Airport and the nearest railway station is the Vellore Cantonment Railway Station.
