In the state of Uttar Pradesh no body could find paucity of towns and cities. Amongst them Khadda is quite an important one. Khadda is the name of the `nagar panchayat` town that has been situated in the district of Kushinagar.

Sugarcane, paddy, white, turmeric and some fruits like mango, leechi, jackfruits are being grown here in abundance. Apart from that, few industries producing products like sugar etc are found. Like any other Indians in Kushinagar district also, people celebrate various fairs and festivals. `Shiva Ratri Mela,` ` Navratri Mela ( Palta Devi )`, `Annual Buddha Festival ( on Buddha Purnima )`, `A New Year festival,` are significant ones. In order to carry on the conversation with each other, people use languages like Hindi, Bhojpuri etc.
