Indian Temple: Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai
Siddhivinayak Temple is an Indian Hindu Temple. It is belonged to medieval period dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It is located in Prahadevi, Dadar, Mumbai. Siddhivinayak Temple consists of a small mandapam with the shrine for Siddhi Vinayak . The wooden doors to the inner entrance are carved with the images of the Ashtavinayak.The outstanding feature of this deity is the tilt of the trunk to the right side. The idol has four hands, which contains a lotus in upper right, a small axe in upper left, holy beads in the lower right and a bowl full of Modaks.
Khajuraho Temples,Madhya Pradesh, India
The Khajuraho Temple is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. The name Khajuraho is known to allover the world for its architecture of temples, and sculpture. Mainly the Khajuraho is famous for their erotic sculptures. This Indian temples of glorious tradition of artistic values are the state`s most famous attraction. Total 85 temples were built in that period but unfortunately only 22 are able to survive today.The Khajuraho temples are included in the UNESCO world heritage list .
Meenakshi Temple, Madurai
Located in the heart of the city of Madurai, the Meenakshi-Sundareswarar temple is dedicated to goddess Meenakshi, the consort of lord Shiva. It is one of the greatest Indian Shiva temples and one of the most important places of Hindu pilgrimage. The Meenakshi temple boasts an excellent work of Dravidian architecture, and there are 985 richly carved pillars here and each one surpasses the other in beauty. The most important festival the Cittirai festival is held in April/May, when the celestial marriage of Meenakshi and Sundareswarar is celebrated, drawing a huge crowd of people from all over the state.
Mata Vaishnodevi Temple, Jammu
A pilgrimage to the shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi temple is considered to be the holiest. Mata resides in a cave located among the Trikuta Mountains, Jammu. This Indian Temple is one of the Shakti Peeth.The first mention to the Mother Goddess is in the Mahabharat during the battle of Kurukshetra, Arjun is said to have invoked the blessings of Mother. He calls her as Jambookatak Chityaishu Nityam Sannihitalaye - you who always dwell in the temple on the slope of the mountain in Jamboo.
Dilwara Temples, Mount Abu
The Jain Dilwara temples are located about two-and-a-half kilometers from Mount Abu, Rajasthan`s only hill station. These Indian temples date back from the 11th to 13th century and are world famous for their use of marble. There are five temples in all, each with its own identity and these are named after the village in which they are located. These temples are Vimal Vasahi (Shri Adi Nathji temple), Luna Vasahi (Shri Nemi Nathji temple), Pithalhar (Shri Rishabh Deoji temple), Khartar Vasahi (Shri Parshav Nathji temple) and Mahaveer Swami (Shri Mahaveer Swamiji temple). The most famous of these are the Vimal Vasahi and Luna Vasahi temple.
Indian Temple; Tirupati Balaji Temple
The town of Tirupati is considered as the most sacred place in India. It is famous for Lord Venkateshwara, the deity who is called Tirupati Balaji which here means the `lord of Laxmi`. The shrine is located on a hill at Tirumala, a group of seven hills known as Venkatachalam. This Indian temple is located on the seventh peak of Venkatachala and so the Lord is also called Venkatachalapati or Lord of the Seven Hills, which lies, on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini.The main shrine includes the sanctum and three consecutive halls in front right up till Bangaru Vakili.
