Renjith Maheshwary is an Indian triple jumper hailing from Kerala
. He was born on 30th January 1986 in Kottayam
Renjith Maheshwary finished the fourth at the 2006 Asian Games and won the 2007 Asian Championships. Renjith Maheshwary also competed at the 2007 World Championship Competition in triple Jumping and the 2013 World Championships but did not reach the final.
Renjith Maheshwary represented India at the Beijing Olympics in the year 2008. He also represented in 2012 London Olympics.
In 2012 London Games, Renjith Maheshwary's dismal show, as in the last year's World Championships in Daegu, committing three consecutive foul jumps at the qualifying stage, stopped his Olympic campaign.
Renjith Maheshwary had performed badly at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 too, where he came up with a best of 15.77 meters. Later, Renjith Maheshwary tested positive for a stimulant but was let off with a three-month suspension.
Renjith Maheshwary jumped about 17.07 metres at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where he held the Indian national record till 2014, when it was beaten by Arpinder Singh, another Indian triple jumper. Renjith Maheswary has won the gold medal in Asian Grand Prix 2012.
Renjith Maheshwary is married to Indian pole vaulter and National record holder V. S. Surekha, who holds the current national record of 4.08 m set at the national circuit meet held at Patiala
on 23 October 2006. She was named the “Best Female Athlete” of the Standard Chartered 44th National Open athletics championship. The couple is blessed with a daughter named Jhiya Renjith.
