The town of Chapari is in the Puruliya district of West Bengal.

Chapari is a census town in the Puruliya district in the state of West Bengal in India. The population is 7242 as per the statistical records of the 2001 census. There are 53% males out of which 84% are literate. Out of the 47% females, 69% are literate. The average literacy rate amounts to 77%, which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. 11% of the population is children less than 6 years of age.
