St. Mary`s Orthodox Valiyapally, Karnataka
St. Mary`s Orthodox Valiyapally is an Orthodox Syrian Christian Church located in Gangamma Circle in Bengaluru in Karnataka.

 St. Mary`s Orthodox Valiyapally, KarnatakaSt. Mary`s Orthodox Valiyapally is known to be one of the oldest Orthodox churches in the city. It belongs to the Bangalore Diocese of Malankara Orthodox Church. This is the first Orthodox parish in Bengaluru to have a church of its own.

History of St. Mary`s Orthodox Church
The Church was started in January 1961 when a decision was taken to form a prayer group, under the leadership of Fr Thomas Moothedam. Full-time priest was appointed by name Fr. G. John in 1964. The Sunday school was started. The actual construction of the church was started on 15th august 1966 and was completed within a year. The new Church was consecrated by H. H. Moran Mar Baselius Augen I, Catholicos of the East on the 5th of March 1967.

Over the years in order to accommodate the growing worshippers, the existing church was beautifully re-constructed and again consecrated on August 14 and 15 1993 by H.G. Philipose Mar Eusebius.

On January 25, 2009, the title of the St. Mary`s Orthodox Church was changed to St. Mary`s Orthodox Valiyapally by the then Diocese Bishop H. G Dr. Yakob Mar Irenaios

Special Events of St. Mary`s Orthodox Church
Every year harvest festival is celebrated on 15th of August. It involves regular morning mass followed by breakfast, bid function and lunch in the later part of the day.
