In the serial `Thodi Khusi Thode Gham`, director Sobhna Desai raises one of the issues of gender discrimination of our Indian society. It is the story of an industrialist Mansukhlal Shah, for whom success of the business, status and respect of the family comes due to him and his sons. He is giving all credits to the male members of the family and just ignores all the contributions of his wife, daughter and daughter-in-law. So his daughter -in-law Sneha, challenges his claims of being superiority.

Deepa Parab

Deepa Parab, hardly comes in three serials but getting recognition as Jia in `Reth`, Sneha in `Thodi Khusi Thode Gham`. Deepa looking like a very simple girl, but her pivotal role in Thodi Khusi Thode Gham, shows her real capacity.

Deepa is a Maharashtrian Girl. She is born on 31st October and a scorpion. Her acting back ground had started with college competitions, then entered into one- act -Plays. After that she entered in to Marathi theaters, following by serials and films, At last came to Hindi Serials and now have done several commercials.

Her earlier Hindi serials were `Chhoti Maa`, `Meeth` and `Reth`. Among her roles she loves her role in `Meet` as Jia.

Amit Jain

Amit as Pranab is playing the lead role in `Thodi Khusi Thode Gham`. Here Amit Jain is playing an obedient foreign returned son. He is familiar to screen since his debut as Ronit in the serial `Yeh Meri Life Hai`. He had first faced to camera through an ad of Limca with Sonali Bendre.

Amit comes from Delhi. His family is a big joint family with the Jewellery business. He is born on 3rd March 1980. Previously everyone in his family opposed for acting, only her mother supported him and convinced everyone to let him gave a chance. That`s why in his every interview; he didn`t get tired of repeating thanks to his mother. He is very happy by getting such a nice role in his second chance. His acting was improved much more then his first serial.

As a person he is very simple guy. Loves to eat Dal Chawal. His favorite colour is black and favorite place out side is Dubai. Till now he has no plan of moving towards Film industry. He is satisfied in small screen and believes himself as the beginner in the industry, so it takes a lot of time for the movies.

Arvind Rathod

Arvind Rathod aka Mansukh Lal in `Thodi Khusi Thode Gham` is a famous Gujrati Theatre actor. Arvind Rathod has left a very good impression on audience with his remarkable acting in this serial. His few Gujrati plays were,`Jagya Tyathi Sawaar`, `Maniyaro`, `Ganga Sati`, `Salaam Memsaab`, `Sone kansari`, `Bhadar Tara Vehata Paani` and `Kora Kagaz`. He had also done several Hindi movies, such as `Khudah Gawah`, `Agneepath`.

Sejal Shah

In `Thodi Khusi Thode Gham`, Sejal Shah is playing Jyoti`s character. She is not at all new infront of camera. Audiences have seen her in `Hasratein` and in `Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka`. After a year gape, Sejal came back with this serial. She is quite happy with her role.

Harish Patel

Harish Patel a well-known actor in both the small and big screen, after a long gap entered once again in to television. Here he is playing as Bhagu mama, a mediator between two generations. Harish Patel is not a Gujrati, but often mistaken as Gujrati. Besides doing Hindi movies, he is also doing some Hollywood projects.

Kalpana Diwan

Kalpana Diwan is also among them, who worked for Sobhna Desai in her early serial `Ek Mahal ho Sapno ka`. She is also a theatre actress. She is very glad that Sobhna has selected her for the second time in her serial.

Zankhana Seth

Zankhana Seth, sister of Sobhna Desai, is also a theatre actress. Now she is living in U.S. Only for her sister`s serial she came back. She also had worked in `Ek Mahal Ho sapno Ka`. She had acted more than forty theatres.
