In the Mahabharata, Rishikas are mentioned as Uttara Rishikas as well as Parama Rishikas. Rishikas are stated to have been living as neighbours to the Parama-Kambojas and the Lohas, in Sakadvipa. The Uttara Rishikas were the armed forces as well as the cultural and geographical neighbors of the Parama Kambojas.
