Jarudhi is one of the mountain ridges in the Puranas. A ridge is a geological feature which comprises of a chain of mountains or hills that form a continuous elevated crest for some distance. Jarudhi project from the base of Mount Meru situated on the western side. It is one of the mountains which are skillfully arranged around the foot of Mount Meru like the filaments around the whorl of a lotus flower. The names of other mountains are Kuranga, Kurara, Kusumbha, Vaikanka, Trikuta, Sisira, Patanga, Rucaka, Nisadha, Sinivasa, Kapila, Sankha, Vaidurya, Hamsa, Rsabha, Naga, Kalanjara and Narada.
