STAR World is STAR Group`s premiere English-language Entertainment TV-channel. Also shown in the Asian region, the channel was the successor of STAR Plus, which is now the Hindi-language Entertainment Channel. Before STAR World, STAR Plus was STAR`s English-language entertainment channel which has started its operations on 1992 and its Hindi counterpart is ZEE TV. But after STAR ended their partnership with ZEE TV, STAR Plus has been changed to Hindi-language and had launched STAR World.
