Parthiv Ajay Patel is the wicketkeeper of the Gujarat Cricket team, who has also played for the Indian cricket team.

He has also played for the Indian cricket team, India Green cricket team and Rajasthan Association President`s XI cricket team. The full name of Parthiv is Parthiv Ajay Patel.

Parthiv Patel is a left-handed batsman. He started playing in the "First-class" matches in 2001-02. Till then, he has played in 117 "First-class" matches in his cricket career with an average of 40.17. He has made his total score of 6147 runs, which includes 14 centuries and 33 half-centuries. The highest score made by Parthiv Patel in any of the "First-class" matches is 206 runs. While in bowling, Parthiv Patel could not pick up any wickets and has given 9 runs in the "First-class" matches. His bowling economy is 2.25 in these matches. The latest "First-class" match played by Parthiv Patel was against West Zone cricket team, which was held at Mumbai from February 19 to 22 in 2008.

In the "List A" matches, Parthiv Patel debuted in 2001-02. He has played in 109 "List A" matches till then with an average of 28.05. His total score in these matches is 2581 runs, which includes 19 half-centuries. The maximum score made by Parthiv Patel in any of the "List A" matches is 90 runs and his striking rate is 79.98. Being the wicketkeeper of the team, he has not got the chance to bowl in these matches.

His total score in these matches is 800 runs, which includes 4 half-century. The maximum score made by Parthiv Patel in any of the "Twenty20" matches is 57 runs and his striking rate is 107.52.

In the "One Day International" (ODI) matches, Parthiv Patel started playing against New Zealand team, which was held at Queenstown on January 4 in 2003. Till then, he has played in overall 18 "ODI matches" with an average of 24.16. He has made his total score of 290 runs in these matches. The maximum score of Parthiv Patel in any of the "ODI matches" is 56 runs and his striking rate is 70.55.

Parthiv Patel became the Test cricket`s youngest wicketkeeper at the age of 17 years. He was called up in the Indian team to replace the injured Ajay Ratra in the second Test at Trent Brigade. Parthiv started playing cricket for his school in the year 1996. Then he got selected for the Gujarat Under-14 team in 1998. The cricket journalists caught Parthiv Patel in December 2000 while playing for the Gujarat Under-16 cricket team in the West Zone league against Maharashtra. In that match Parthiv Patel played as a wicketkeeper and an opening batsman he scored centuries in both the innings of the match.
