The Siddha system not only deals with medicine but also works on spirituality, righteous way of living and rejuvenation. Its main aim is Kaivalya or attainment of perfection. Siddhars believed that the only way to stop the cycle of death and rebirth is making the body as strong as the stone, which is unaffected in the diseases, old age or even death. Thus Kayakalpa System was formed. Siddha system is thus the only system, which bestows immortality.

Many chronic diseases are considered incurable in the western medicine but can be treated successfully using the procedure of Siddha medicine. Most of the medicines in Siddha system is as natural as possible and are readily absorbed within each cell of the body, giving it proper nourishment to achieve a long and healthy life. Healthy cells within the body can reproduce new cells that are similarly healthy and thus it can slow the rate of aging. Some Siddha medical treatments claim that certain medicines are very effective in arresting the aging procedure.

There are many hidden treasures in Siddha medicine from which modern medicine can be benefited. The western medicinal systems are sometimes too expensive to use and so the common citizens rely on the Siddha physicians or holistic practitioners. The natural laws prevent the Siddha physicians from gaining material wealth from the profession and many of them charge only a minimal amount for the service. The Siddha medicine is an ancient science, which has the threat of being lost without the proper aid of dedicated students and the other benefactors who can afford to make this science alive, which is necessary for the benefit of mankind.
