In Ganesh Mudra the left hand should be held in front of the chest with the palm facing outward. This Mudra should be done once a day and it helps to strengthen the heart muscles and open the bronchial tubes and release tension. It also opens the fourth chakra and boosts confidence in the practitioner.
Bend the fingers and grab the left hand with the right hand with the palm facing inward, see that both the hands are clasped.
Exhale and vigorously pull the hands apart without releasing the grip. The hands are in front of the chest, and this action will tense the muscles of the upper arm and the chest area.
Inhale and let go of the tension. Repeat six times. Change the hand positions and again do the exercise six times.
Remain in silence for a while after this.
The exercise can also be done with one elbow pointing upwards and another pointing downwards.
