Sonal Singh Chauhan, popularly known as Sonal Chauhan, is a well known fashion model from India who made his acting debut in 2008, with the Bollywood film Jannat, featuring Emraan Hashmi and directed by Kunal Deshmukh. She catapulted to fame when she was declared the winner of Miss World Tourism 2005 at a place called Miri, which is located in the state of Sarawak in Malaysia. Chauhan is also believed to be the first model ever from India who won the title of Miss World Tourism. Before winning the crown Sonal Singh Chauhan was a popular model in the capital of the Indian subcontinent and appeared in several advertisements both in print and electronic media.

Early Life of Sonal Singh Chauhan
Sonal Singh Chauhan was born on 16th May 1985 in Noida in the family of famous Royal Chauhan Rajput of Mainpuri. Sonal Singh Chauhan hails from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Chauhan`s father is a police inspector and she has 3 siblings, one elder brother, one elder sister and a younger sister. Sonal Chauhan successfully completed her studies from Delhi Public School, Noida. Later she did her higher studies in Philosophy honors from Gargi College in New Delhi. After completing with her studies she took part in many ad campaigns and endorsed many popular brands. She was also a noteworthy Miss India contestant but unfortunately could not make it to the top three.

Career of Sonal Singh Chauhan
Sonal Singh Chauhan was crowned as the Miss World Tourism in the year 2005. The beautiful actress and model was featured on the cover page of The Man magazine and FHM. Chauhan also did ads for various reputed brands such as Nokia and Ponds. She walked the ramp at the India International Jewelry Week 2011 and was the show stopper for jewellery brand YS18. Later Sonal Chauhan appeared in music video of singer Himesh Reshammiya`s album Aap Kaa Surroor. Eventually the pretty model was selected as the female lead in the film Jannat, opposite Emraan Hashmi. Sonal Singh Chauhan has also acted in the Telugu film Rainbow along with actor Rahul and the Kannada movie Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu.

Sonal Singh Chauhan has walked the ramp in several fashion shows and has modeled for many brands namely Delhi Times, Hindustan Times, Nokia, Hero Honda Passion, Reliance CDMA, LG and others.
