Raju Shrivastav, TV ActorIn a world full of pessimism and sadness there are only handfuls who make it their profession to make other laugh at the cost of their words. The stand-up comedian Raju Shrivastav is one among the special lot who has gained a special corner in the hearts of the comedy lovers by means of his extraordinary performances. He is currently hosting the show `The Comedy Show`. This great comedian was born on 25th December 1963 and shifted to the tinsel to mark his entry into Bollywood as a film actor.

This great actor was born in the city of Kanpur in a middle class Kayastha family. He had been a very good mimic since his childhood days. He had a flair for comedy since a very tender age and after completing his college landed up in the `city of dreams` to fulfill his long cherished dreams of becoming an accomplished actor. But he was very much determined and continued to meet people who mattered and finally succeeded in bagging a role in the Bollywood flick `Maine Pyar Kiya`. Soon after he realized that life is not a bed of roses for the aspiring and struggling actors and has been seen by the audiences in various commercial Bollywood flicks. One can see him in one of the biggest hits of the most popular Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, `Baazigar`.

Raju Shrivastav was so talented an artiste that the most important people in a very short span noticed him and that helped him in boosting up his career. He also performed in many stage shows both in India and abroad and his gags did not spare any of the big names both in the film industry as well as outside. He has worked with Bappi Lahiri, Nitin Mukesh and Kalyan Anand both on domestic and international platforms. His cassette of audio jokes `Hasna Mana Hai` is hilarious all the way and has his huge fan following roaring with laughter. He was also noticed by the comedy king Johny Lever and he selected him as a very important man in his troupe.

The hugely popular show `The Great Indian Laughter Challenge` rewarded him with the much-coveted title `The King of Comedy`. He has worked his way gradually to the position and status he enjoys by means of his sheer hard work and immense dedication. He started his career from the stage from where he learnt mimicry. Such is his talent that there is no person left in the film industry whom Raju Shrivastav cannot imitate to perfection. He has also been seen in various other commercial flicks but he has never let his stage performances take a back seat. His first love has always remained to be stage shows where he feels that he could be at more ease communicating with the audiences. But this great comedian is against loud and vulgar comedy and he takes his inspiration for his comedy from Kishore Kumar and Johny Lever. Hence there is no denial of the fact that such a talented artiste is born to rule the hearts of the audiences.
