Krishnarajpet is a panchayat town, which is located in the Mandya district of Karnataka state of Indian subcontinent

Krishnarajpet is the name of a panchayat town, lying in the district of Mandya of Karnataka state of India . Strategically, Krishnarajpet lies approximately at 12.66° N 76.49° E. It rises to a height of 790 meters or 2591 feet above the mean sea level. Keeping track with the discovery of a town or place as a whole, eminent demographers also have worked hard to make people aware of certain aspects of its demography in the real sense.

This has resulted in preparation of numerous reports on the basis of facts that they have gathered from their extensive surveying. They have acknowledged the Census report of a specific year to be quite relevant amongst all the reports. This report was published in the year 2001, which throws data like literacy rate, population condition that are related to Krishnarajpet. According to this report, Krishnarajpet has showed population counting of 22,473. Out of it, male populace of Krishnarajpet constitutes 51 %, while the population of females is 49 % only. This led one to come to the conclusion that males are more in number than that of females. In Krishnarajpet, 12 % of the total population constitutes of people who are below six years of age.

As far as Krishnarajpet is concerned, its average literacy rate constitutes 70 %, which is even higher than India, which comprises of 59.5 %. Thus high literacy rate rightly affirms its growth and prosperity to an extent. To be specific, male literacy rate is 77 %. Rate of female literacy is also no less insignificant and also constitutes 63 %.
