Kasrawad, Madhya Pradesh

Numerous towns and cities have developed in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Amongst them one easily could distinguish Kasrawad to be significant one. In fact Kasrawad is an example of a nagar panchayat town , lying in the same state of Indian territory.

The strategic location of Kasrawad is quite significant. It lies approximately at 22.13° N 75.6° E[1]. It has an average height of 169 meters or 554 feet. It becomes imperative for a person to get acquainted with the demographical scenario so that he can identify the characteristics of Kasrawad in a better way. So demographers have duly appointed for conducting surveys and prepare reports on several demographical aspects like population status, literacy condition etc. In this regard a due mentioning may be made of Census report of India of a particular year. It has been published in the year 2001 and becomes a relevant document of Kasrawad`s demography.

According to this report, Kasrawad showed a population count of 19,035. Out of it male populace constitutes of 51 percent of the population. Female populace comprises of 49%. That female populace of Kasrawad is less in number than their male counterparts is quite evident.

Information about literacy rate of Kasrawad too can be inferred from the report. It is interesting to note that the average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 66%, and female literacy is 48%. In Kasrawad, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
