Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University is located at Patan in Gujarat and the territorial jurisdiction of the state extends over the districts of Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha.

This University was created from the Gujarat University whose headquarters is at Ahmedabad.
