Reela Hota is an eminent Odissi dancer whose dedication towards the art form reflects through her performances. Reela Hota considers dance as a practice of spirituality that also signifies the meaning of inner purification.

At the tender age of 8 years, Reela Hota was inducted to the training of Indian Classical dance. Guru Gangadhar Pradhan has explored the world of Odissi dance to her. Guru Gangadhar Pradhan once described Reela Hota`s dance, as it looks into her body movement, footwork and abhinaya. All this together has made her a dancer of repute. Later on she bagged the privilege of getting the training under illustrious Smt. Madhavi Mudgal. Smt. Madhavi Mudgal has also appreciated Reela for her astonishing stage performances. Reela Hota has executed her debutant recital in Odissi in the year 1994. Her debut recital took place under the aegis of Sahitya Kala Parishad. On her debut performances she received rave reviews from the dance critic Shanta Sarabjeet Singh - who commented "Reela showed her class in finely etched bramharis, precise hastas and sensitive mukhabhinaya".

Afterwards she fetched the honor of getting the training under the great tutelage of legendary late padmabibhusan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. This legendary Odissi dancer has instilled the `desire for perfection` within her. Throughout her professional career she has executed performances in many highly esteemed festivals namely Yuva Mahotsava, Lucknow Mahotsava, DIU Festival, Sangeet Nrityotsav, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival, Ganga Mahotsav, Taj Mahotsava, World Philosophy Congress, Baishakhi Festival, NavSamvatsar, Lakshman Mela, H.C.L concert series.

Some creative compositions made by her are also acclaimed worldwide. Reela Hota in the year 1998, stagged her first venture in the name of "Atma -Mukti", the yogic path to self-realization. The venture is based on the yoga, and `According to Yoga, the ultimate aim of the individual soul is to unite with the cosmic soul. The ancient Indian sages devised various methods to achieve this. An individual can choose any path and attain liberation`. Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra has choreographed this composition. In the year 2003, her next venture was staged and it was named as "VISWASYA BEEJAM", the essence of Kundalini Tantra. In the year 2005, `Ek Lakshya, Chaturpatha` was her third venture. This dance depicts the life and philosophy of 4 women saints in history from divergent faiths (Sufi, Hindu, Christian and Buddhist) who had realized the ultimate truth and become one with it`.

Reela Hota has executed her performances in various occasions. Some of them are for Indian Postal Department, Department of Finance, Ministry of Petroleum, World Philosophy Congress, Health Ministry, Netaji Centenary Celebrations Orissa Day, and Tourism Day. She has also received decisive acclamation on her performance in Bharat Bhawan, India International Centre, Goa Kala Kendra. She has also exhibited her performances outside India. She has extensively toured Europe, Bangladesh, Oman. Reela Hota has also playacted in a tele-film on Odissi dance. In the year 2006, Reela Hota also travelled Oman, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana to perform Odissi dance. She has also fetched the honor of being performed at the highly esteemed "Harare International Arts Festival".
