Khair city located in the Aligarh district of the state of Uttar Pradesh had shown a population count of 27,661.
 
 Numerous towns and cities have grown in the soils of Indian subcontinent. In Uttar Pradesh state also, one finds no dearth of cities also. One such city is Khair. It is situated in the district of Aligarh . Also a municipal board has been formed in order to introspect the proper functioning of administration of this city.

For identifying any city it is very much essential that a person should be able to collect some knowledge about the demography of that concerned city. Thus down these years, a multitude of surveys have been carried forth so that information about this Khair city can be known. It has been rightly population of males in Khair constitutes of 54 percent and female populace constitutes of 46 percent only. In Khair city, 17 percent of the total population is below six years of age.

The literacy rate of Khair city too has been pointed out in this report. It has been observed that the average literacy rate of Khair is lower even than that of the entire nation. 54 percent is the average literacy rate of Khair city and that of India is 59.5 percent. More so if one wishes one could even get acquainted with the individual literacy status of males and females from the report. Thus accordingly the rate of male literacy comprises of 62 percent and female literacy rate is 44 percent.

Few developments also have occurred and that can be known from other reports as well. The IEI Computer Education is available which thereby from 1996 onwards suffice the emerging needs of providing computer education to the people. According to experts other industries like printing press etc too have developed in Khair.

Being situated at the junction of roads, this Khair city has maintained a good connectivity with the other places in the district. Khair Bus Station fulfills this need. In Khair Somna Railway Station lies in the vicinity i.e it is near about fifteen km, located on the `Delhi-Kolkata railway line`.
