Vast continent of India houses numerous towns and cities that have developed over the years. The state of Rajasthan is also not an exception. Thus, amongst various cities that are found in the state, Kaithoon deserves, worth mentioning. To look after the administration of Kaithoon, a municipality has been established. It is located in the district of Kota of the state of Rajasthan.

In order to study any place properly it becomes apparent that one must be aware of the demography of the place. So the demographers of India have thrown some light on the demography ofKaithoon after conducting surveys and research works.

In this regard, the Census report that has been published in the year 2001 deserves to be mentioning. Information like status of literacy, population etc can be inferred from it. Thus the total population of Kaithoon has been enumerated to be 20,362. Out of the total population, the population of male constitutes of 52 percent, while female population has been counted to be 48 percent only. In Kaithoon town, children below six years of age comprises of 17 percent of the total population.

As far as the average literacy rate of Kaithoon is concerned, it constitutes of 62 percent . Thus it is higher than that of the whole nation which has been measured to be 59.5 percent . To be specific, rate of male literacy is 73 percent and female literacy rate is 51 percent.
