In the state of Madhya Pradesh, Hirapur is a census village in the Balaghat district that has a population of 5639 .

Amongst several of the towns that have originated, Hirapur is a place of utter significance. Hirapur is a census town in the district of Balaghat of the same state of Indian subcontinent.

Strategically, the Hirapur town is being placed at a significant position. According to the record, the Hirapur town has been situated at 21.53° N 79.77° E. It has an average altitude of 501 metres or 1643 feet.

According to the report , the total population of the Hirapur town has been counted to be 5639. It is note worthy that in Hirapur , both the male and female populace constitutes an equal share. That is , male comprises of 50 percent , while the population of females is also 50 percent. As far as the number of children in Hirapur town is concerned, kids below the six years comprise of 15 percent of the total population. The Kanha National Parkliteracy rate of the town of Hirapur too acts as relevant information of the concerned town. According to the Census report of 2001 , the average literacy rate of Hirapur is higher than that of the entire country which has been measured to be 59.5 percent . Thus the average literacy rate of Hirapur is 65 percent. To delve into details, it also can be inferred that rate of male literacy is 73 percent, while the female literacy rate is 57 percent only.

Places of interests in and around this area include Kanha National Park, Lanji Temple or Fort, Nahlesara Dam, Dhuti Dam, Rampaily Temple, Hatta Bawali .It becomes obvious that the people of the Hirapur also make a visit to these places quite frequently.
