The very talented actor Harsh Chhaya is often praised for his acting acumen. None other than the yesteryear superstar Dilip Kumar has even praised him for his acting when he was shooting at a bungalow in Madh. In fact when he praised him for his acting it not only made his day but also keeps him going on with life even in those inconsistent times. Recently he was seen in the Bollywood blockbuster `Laaga Chunari Main Daag` which also stars the Bollywood biggies like Rani Mukherjee, Konkana Sensharma, Jaya Bhaduri and Abhishek Bachhan. In this movie he plays the role of a malignant opportunist and his role was as if corruption personified. Although it was a cameo the negative role of a call center boss was also quite interesting for him to portray. He is not only a brilliant performer but also brings about the poignancy of the scenes aptly. In another recent Bollywood flick `Breaking News` Harsh Chhaya plays the role of a top cop who shows his evil with certain effectiveness. At present he also does not seem to have very high regards for the television industry. He feels there is a lot more than the typical family dramas that are being shown on almost all the television channels. He feels that earlier the quality of work as well as the technical aspects were of much higher standard.

In the current times Harsh Chhaya is seen doing a play called `Kachhe Lamhe`. He in fact seems to be a bundle of talent after giving some brilliant performances in movies like `Company`, `Dev`, `Bheja Fry`, `Ramji Londonwale`, `Corporate` and `Janasheen`. Over the years he has proved his mettle in acting in shows like `Astitva`, `Hasratein`, `Ghar Ek Sapna` and `Justjoo`. Balaji has never been his favorite to work with as they always centre around one woman with others surrounding her as cardboard characters. In fact he would like to plays a part, which has something standing and also some story revolving around it. He always needs something substantial to let his inner talents out. His film career is also not going in great measures and he is simply waiting for the right break. He also regrets on the fact that inspite of people calling him a good actor he does not get to portray a breaking role on the television.

On the personal front Harsh Chhaya strives to live a very normal life with regular routine. He even does not like to call himself a perfectionist. He was earlier married to the veteran actress Shefali Shah. It took him a long time for him to come out of the broken marriage. He has once again found his love and marital bliss. He knows that he has to live on and has taken the path on which he can walk easily.
