Gopal Saini, a former athlete of India, still holds national record in men 3000 meter Steeplechase event held at Tokyo in the year 1981 with timing of 8.30.88 minutes. He originally hails from Rajasthan. In the year 1981, he was conferred Arjuna award, which is the highest prestigious award in the field of sports and ofcourse the most desired award for the players, for their achievements.
