Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, TelanganaGachibowli Indoor Stadium, situated in the Gachibowli suburb of Hyderabad in Telangana, is an indoor arena. It has the capacity of about 4000 people and is entirely air conditioned. The stadium lies close to the Hyderabad International Institute of Information Technology. The central playing arena of the stadium has a measurement of 60m by 40m and comprises six badminton courts and one basketball court. However it also hosts other sporting events such as weight lifting, wrestling, judo, boxing, table tennis and taekwondo.

Architecture of Gachibowli Indoor Stadium
The architecture of Gachibowli Indoor Stadium is such that the access of the spectators is segregated from that of the sports-persons and officials. There are four large pedestrian bridges which are placed at the four cardinal points. These allow the spectators to access directly to the stands at the upper level. A combination of staircases and ramps takes the spectators to a height of 3m from ground level. There is a 4 metres wide steel-truss bridge of 12m span which leads the spectators to a circumferential corridor from where the stands can be entered. Gachibowli Indoor Stadium has wooden flooring.

Events at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium
Gachibowli Indoor Stadium is an ideal arena for indoor games like badminton and many others. The stadium has many more good facilities which make it well suited for international level tournaments. It has served as the venue for some of the events of the 1st Afro Asian Games held in Hyderabad in the year 2003 and the BWF World Championships in 2009.
