Seema Antil is a renowned discus thrower from India. She achieved her personal best throw of 64.84 m in Kiev in August 2004. She was born on 27th July in the year 1983, in Sonipat, Haryana. She completed her education from Government College, in Sonipat. This Indian discus thrower, originally won the gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships, but lost the honor due to a positive drugs test for pseudoephedrine, which is a is a sympathomimetic drug. Due the existing rules of the time, the National Federation took away her medal. At the next World Junior Championships held in the year 2002, she won a bronze medal.
At the 2006 Commonwealth Games, Seema Antil performed brilliantly and won the silver medal. After acknowledging her talent the Haryana
state government conferred her with Bhim Award on June 26, 2006. She did not participate at the Asian Games held in the year 2006, which attracted significant media attention. Seema Antil won another bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, held in Delhi.
