The beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh houses a multitude of tribal communities. No wonder , amongst them , the name of the Lahaula tribal community deserve special mentioning. Infact this Lahaula tribal community has been bestowed upon the status and prestige of being one of the Scheduled tribes of the state. Mostly this Lahaula tribal community is found in several regions like Lahul Valley, Pattan, Chamba-Lahul, and lower Mayar valleys.

As far as the languages are concerned, these Lahaula tribal community converse with each other in the language of Pattani. In fact there are alternative names of this language, which are popular amongst the Lahaula tribal community.
