Srinivas College of Physiotherapy, Mangalore, KarnatakaThe Srinivas College of Physiotherapy (SCP) is a renowned medical institution, located in the district of Mangalore in Karnataka, India. The college was established by the Srinivas Group of College, sponsored by A. Shama Rao Foundation, in the year 1993. The group is in charge of running and managing the college, as well. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangaluru and it has got the approval of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), also. The college is working with a view to impart quality and sustainable education and it is operating with the belief that education is the engine to transform society.

The Srinivas College of Physiotherapy (SCP), Mangalore has been working with a view to achieve some certain aims and objectives. The college believes that excellence will deliver professional manpower to the nation and it has constantly strived to provide the best of the faculty members and state-of-the art facilities, to the students. The college management encourages and supports its students not only to excel in academics but also to develop their personality through extra curricular activities. The college is actually committed to brighten and enlighten the society and it has taken education, as the vehicle for social engineering.

The Srinivas College of Physiotherapy (SCP), Mangalore offers a large number of courses in different fields of medical science at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college offers the courses like Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) and admits many students in these two courses, every year. The BPT is a four and half years` course. The students are required to have passed Pre-University Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or equivalent examination with 45% marks, to get admitted in this course in the SCP, Mangalore. The MPT course is a 2 years` full time programme. In order to get admitted in the course, the candidates are required to have passed BPT degree from a University in India or abroad recognized as equivalent by RGUHS. The students should obtain at least 50% of marks in aggregate, to be considered eligible for admission.

The BPT and MPT courses are offered by the Srinivas College of Physiotherapy (SCP), Mangalore in the specialties like Musculoskeletal and Sports physiotherapy, Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy and ICU Management, Neurology & Psychosomatic Disorders, Paediatric Physiotherapy, and Community Physiotherapy. Apart from that, the college also provides some Special Training facilities in its units like Electro Physiology Unit (EMG - NCV, EP), Spirometry and Cardiovigil Unit, Evidence based Physiotherapy Practice Unit (Powered by Helinet Consortium by RGUHS), Neuro Developmental Therapy Unit and Manual Therapy Unit. The college is considered as the second Physiotherapy Degree College and first postgraduate degree college of Physiotherapy in Karnataka.
