The two best teams of the East Zone, Bengal and Bihar clashed with each other in the last league match of the Zone at Jamshedpur from 09-11 January, 1960. The match witnessed a very tough contest between the two teams and the Bihar team eventually became successful to beat the Bengal team by a narrow margin of 2 wickets.
