Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET) is the admissions test that is conducted for admissions into the first year of engineering and medical degree courses. This entrance test is organized by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) under the Government of Puducherry. Students who are seeking admissions into the first year of Engineering and Medical degree courses need to appear for this entrance test. These professional engineering and medical degree courses are offered by several government aided institutes of Puducherry.

Application Forms of Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET)
The candidates can obtain the application set of Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET) through post by sending a written request and by paying a requisite amount. In that case, the aspirants need to prepare a bank demand draft of the requisite amount drawn in favour of the Convenor, CENTAC, payable at Puducherry. Along with the request, the candidates need to send two self addressed slips. No other mode of payment (postal orders, money orders or cheques) will be accepted. The application set can also be obtained from certain selected post offices in person by making the cash payment.

The candidates must send the completed application forms along with a filled-in Acknowledgement Card before the last date of form submission.

Eligibility Criteria for Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET)
The minimum eligibility criterion for those candidates who are seeking admissions in engineering and technology degree courses is a pass in the HSC (10+2) examination organized by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or a pass in any its equivalent examination. The minimum percentage required is 45% in aggregate in all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics and any one of these subjects - Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology (Botany & Zoology).

For getting admissions in the medical courses, the candidates need to have passed the 10+2 examination under the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu with Biology, Chemistry and any one of these subjects - Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/Mathematics and Physics.

Pattern of Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET)
The test paper of Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (PJET) basically comprises three papers, each of two hours duration. All the questions are of objective type with multiple choices. The three papers are as follows -

Paper -I
> Mathematics (60 Questions)

Paper - II
> Physical Sciences (80 questions - 40 questions each from Physics and Chemistry)

Paper- III
> Biology (100 questions - 50 questions each from Botany and Zoology)
