Polem Beach, GoaPolem Beach in Goa is located in the southernmost corner of Goa, ranged along a beautiful small bay. It is seldom-visited place of Goa. It is the fine spot for the tourists. Polem Beach in Goa is seaside stroll or a picnic on the deserted sands, with a beautiful view of a cluster of rocky islands out towards the horizon.

Polem beach is situated at about 30 km south of Chaudi. It is a beautiful secluded beach that has the stretches of white sands and rocky headlands. It is suitable for those who want to be by themselves away from the crowded areas as it is a totally isolated beach.

Polem Beach is about 700 meters long. This is a sand bar in form of a sickle, which ends from both its sides with steep overgrown green capes. The high palm trees are lined up in rows alongside the whole sea coast line. The sand here has a light-golden colour. The area is quite wide. The view onto the sea is breathtakingly beautiful. The blue challenging waters of the Arabian Sea and lots of small islands is the cynosure of the inland and outland tourists. This sea beach of Polem is the virgin beach and is attracted by the large number of local and migratory birds.

The clean and unspoilt beach of Polem is good for swimming and sunbathing among the inland and outland tourists. One can even see a number of dolphins and white-bellied fish eagles that often come here. There are shacks found at the Polem beach in Goa where one can get the refreshments with Goan sea foods and liquor.

There are a number of buses one can take from Panjim or Panaji, Margao and Chaudi that go to Karwar to travel to Polem Beach. However from the stop one has to walk for around 15 minutes across paddy fields to reach the place.

From Polem Beach, one can see the island of Anjdiv in Goa, another tourist attraction spot, in the distance protruding out from the sea a few kilometres off the beach. The island is the location of the naval base of India on the Western Coast. One can reach the beach by bus from Karwar and Canacona.

One can reach Polem Beach by municipal buses which are running from cities of Panjim or Panaji, Margao or Chaudi to Karwar of Goa. At first the bus reaches to Polem village. Then one will need to walk about 1.5 km through fields to reach the Polem Beach. One can also reach Polem Beach by motor-boat. The trip to Polem Beach will take about 30 minutes.
