This admissions test is organized by the state of Orissa for getting admissions into the first year of Engineering/Technology, MBBS/BDS, Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT), Architecture, Pharmacy, MCA and MBA courses. This test is also required for getting lateral entry (meant for the state candidates) to the third semester of the Engineering/Technology, HMCT and Pharmacy degree courses. These degree programmes are offered by several colleges (both government sponsored and private) of Orissa state. The outside state candidates, who are appearing for this state level entrance test, are not eligible for getting admissions in government colleges of the state of Orissa and they can only apply for admissions to private institutions. The candidates are also requested to send a self addressed and stamped (30 cm x 25 cm sized cloth lined) envelope to the office of the Chairman, of the conducting body of this state level entrance examination. The students can also download the application forms form the official website of the organizing body. The interested candidates can also get the application forms from certain designated bank branches.
