MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy, Bangaluru, KarnatakaEstablished in 1992, the MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP) is a recognised and prominent medical institution in the state of Karnataka. The college is located in the city of Bangaluru and it was founded by Sri M. S. Ramaiah, under the Gokula Education Foundation. The institute is considered to be one of the best Pharmacy institutions in India and it is identified as the "Model Institution" for quality and standards and in terms of its laboratory facilities and faculty. The college`s main objective is to provide pharmacy education and also to produce quality pharmacists in India.

The MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP), Bangaluru offers three main courses to the students of Karnataka and the courses are Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master in Pharmacy (M.Pharm). The courses are offered at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and they have durations of 2 years, 4 years and 2 years, respectively. All the courses are approved by the State Government of Karnataka, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and the AICTE, New Delhi. While the D.Pharm course of the institute is affiliated to the Board of Examining Authority (BEA), Government of Karnataka, its B.Pharm course is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangaluru. The institution provides education to the students with the help of a team of dedicated, well qualified and experienced teaching faculty members.

The MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP), Bangaluru follows some strict rules and regulations for admitting the students in its various courses and the eligibility criterion is different for every course. The students desirous of getting admitted in D.Pharm course in the institute are required to have passed the examinations like Intermediate examination in science, the first year of the three year degree course in science, 10 + 2 examination in science, and Pre degree examination. The students, who have passed any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as equivalent to any of the above examinations, are also considered eligible for admission. The candidates are required to have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In order to get admitted in B.Pharm course of the MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP), Bangaluru, the candidates are required to have passed two year P.U.C examination of Karnataka P.U.C board or an equivalent examination of any other approved board or University. The minimum required percentage of marks for the candidates is 50% in any combination comprising P.C.M or P.C.B or P.C.M.B, P.C and Computer science, PC and electronics. However, the required percentage comes down to 40% in case of the students, coming from the SC/ST or Category-I. The candidates, who have scored less than 50% marks in (10+2) but have completed B.Sc degree with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in combination with any two of the following subjects namely Physics or mathematics or Microbiology or Botany or Bio- technology or computer sciences or Electronics, are also considered eligible. However, they should secure at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to first year B.Pharm course.

The candidates, who have scored less than 50% marks in 10+2 but have completed D.Pharm course securing more than 50% marks in aggregate in D.Pharm are also considered eligible to be admitted to I B.Pharm course. The MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP), Bangaluru also allows the candidates who have passed D.Pharm course with not less than 50% aggregate approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), as eligible for admission in this course.

In case of admission in M.Pharm course in the MS Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (MSRCP), Bangaluru, the candidates are required to have passed B.Pharm degree examination of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), or B.Pharm examination of any other recognized Indian University established by law in India. The candidates, having passed any other degree courses in pharmacy recognized as equivalent by RGUHS or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or All India Council of Technical education (A.I.C.T.E) are also considered eligible. However, the candidates should obtain at least 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years) prescribed for the qualification examination. The Pharmacy teachers having recognized B.Pharm qualification and with minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in an institution approved by A.I.C.T.E and P.C.I, are considered as eligible for M.Pharm course. However, they are provided to secure at least 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years). For the candidates coming from SC/ST/Karnataka Category-I, the percentage is 50% of the maximum marks in the qualifying examination.
