The college came into existence in the year 1986 at Cooke Town in Bangalore City and there is a high quality hospital, adjacent to the college. The hospital is catering to the needs of a large population. The college is being run and managed by the Ananda Social & Educational Trust (AS & ET) that is reputed for establishing many other well known educational institutions in the state.

Being affiliated to the Bangalore University and to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), the MRADCH, Bangaluru has the recognition of the Dental Council of India (DCI), as well. Both the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees of the college are recognised by the DCI. The college offers a large number of courses in various disciplines of medical science at both the undergraduate levels. The students of the college are being monitored by a panel of highly qualified and experienced faculty, who are reputed in all over India.

The college offers the course in the disciplines like Oral Medicine & Radiology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Periodontics, Community Dentistry, Prosthodontics & Maxillofacial Prosthetics, Orthodontics and Pedodontics. The college also offers several postgraduate courses like MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics & Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and Orthodontics. The college admits many students in different courses every year and the students are admitted through the Common Entrance Test (CET) held in Karnataka, every year.

The admission criterion of the MRADCH, Bangaluru states that the candidates desirous to get admitted in the college must complete their Pre-University course (10+2) or equivalent, before appearing for the CET. To get admission in the MDS course, the candidates are required to hold the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) of any University recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). They are also required to have completed a minimum of one year as clinical assistant/Sr. House Surgeon/Tutor/Registrar/Intern in a recognised dental institution.
