Masheer fishing camp Yamuna is a campsite in North India that is outfitted ten months a year. This camp is helpful for all sport fishing lover. The camp is mainly renowned for operating throughout the Himalayan Foothills and as there is great demand from anglers who did not have the time to undertake a float trip, so in order to cater to the growing demand this camp was set up.
The main idea behind the setting up of this camp is to promote productivity of water sport for Mahseer game fishing in the Himalayas. This camp also has a professional guide who guides travellers to some of the best fishing expeditions.
This camp is actually set in the beautiful meadow overlooking a fast flowing river that forms a pool at normal intervals. This section of the river also provides a perfect prologue into the world of Mighty Himalayan Mahseer. The guides, from camp itself, can point out the gigantic fish that swim in this section of river. The guides take the travellers to Mahseer sanctuary where he can see Mahseer up close.
Throughout the history of Mahseer fishing, there have been few mentions of "Mahseer on the Fly". The charm of fishing remote Himalayan waters for Mahseer is either on a fly or then on a lure. All of fishing carried on in the camp is "catch and release".
The food is well served by people, starting with good breakfast, followed by day`s fishing. Then the anglers return to the camp for lunch, after which set off again with their guides. The evenings are more fun where, dinners and barbecues are served around the bonfire. The cooks prepare a variety of Indian and Continental cuisine, including barbecues.
The journey to the camp takes 6 hours from national capital New Delhi.
