It lies in the northernmost taluka of Goa known as Pernem taluka. It is a heaven for beach lovers. The beach has vast expanses of golden sand which are mostly empty and have very little shade. Casuarina trees adorn this quite beach. These also serve as the refuge of white-bellied fish eagles. Mandrem beach also hosts a number of Olive Ridley marine turtles. The sand of Mandrem beach is comparatively a little darker. The beach is sandwiched between Ashwem beach and Arambol beach.

Attractions of Mandrem Beach
Although Mandrem beach is more deserted as compared to other beaches of North Goa, the fathomless sea and the shimmering beach have a distinct charm there which is worth visiting. This also makes the beach ideal for rest and rejuvenations away from the maddening city crowd. The beach has a very few beach sellers. Shells can be found scattered on the beach. Strolling along the beach and savouring the cool sea breeze laden with tranquillity and bliss is very refreshing at the beach. The long beach also offers resplendent views of sunset. Mandrem beach serves as one of the excellent tourist destinations where one can find a peaceful and relaxing ambience.

There is a small village situated near the beach having a scattered settlement. Right behind Mandrem beach a river called Mandrem flows. A wooden foot bridge across the river takes the visitors to the spectacular sands of beach. The beach exhibits its truest beauty during high tides when the sea water rushes into the Mandrem Creek or River. This creek runs parallel to the waterline and during high tide become neck deep.

Visiting Information
At Mandrem beach accommodation to the tourists is provided by a few huts. The best part of these accommodations is that they lie on the beach along the shorelines. Food lovers can relish exquisite sea food at the beach. There is also a market nearby where tourists can explore local souvenirs. The beach is located 32 kilometres away from Panjim and can be accessed by buses. Pernem Railway Station serves as the nearest railway station while Dabolim Airport is the nearest airport to reach Mandrem beach.
