Larisa Sadarangani, also known as Larisa Kishore Sadarangani, is a former Indian Badminton player who has played in a number of international tournaments. Between the years of 1999 and 2002 she has been a part of New Zealand national squad. During this period, she was a consistent holder of an International Badminton Federation (IBF) world ranking. Larisa Sadarangani was born in the city of Mumbai, in Maharashtra and began her badminton career there.

Early Life of Larisa Sadarangani
Right from the beginning, Larisa Sadarangani has been a skilled player and in a very short span of time she created waves in the Indian Badminton arena. During her days in school, she became the winner of interschool championships, that too for five years in a row. Subsequently she won a number of Maharashtra state titles in every age group. At the national sports arena, she became victor of the sub junior national single title and the runner-up at the junior nationals and the women"s doubles national championships U22 twice. Larisa Sadarangani did her graduation from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and earned her Masters degree from North Carolina State University, United States.

Career of Larisa Sadarangani
Larisa Sadarangani shifted to New Zealand after completing her junior years of Badminton in India. She continued with her sport there and gradually became a part of the New Zealand national squad in the year 1999. Between the years of 1999 and 2002 she got ranked among the top two singles players of New Zealand. She has been a representative of New Zealand in numerous tournaments overseas. Larisa Sadarangani won the Prime Ministers Sports Scholarship in New Zealand. In the year 2002 she put an end to her badminton career by retiring from the national squad. Presently she is a citizen of New Zealand.
