Career of Jagdish Singh
He was an Indian boxer and represented his country at the highest level. He won many national and international awards during his playing days. He produced, through his coaching centre, many talented boxers. In a country, which is so obsessed with cricket, to have been able to achieve that he achieved is indeed praiseworthy.

As a coach he is known for his traditional coaching methods and is quite popular among players. Singh established the `Bhiwani Boxing Club` withdrawing his provident fund, mortgaging his home and land to obtain loan of 4 lakhs from Gramin bank. The boxing club has multi-utility gym, 25 metre track, three punching bags and a mobile boxing ring. Apparently the boxing centre may look very ordinary, but sheer dedication and determination from every one involved is what has made the academy the best in the country.
