Boil or furuncle is a skin disease caused by the inflammation of hair follicles thereby resulting in the localized accumulation of pus and dead tissue. Individual boils can cluster together and form an interconnected network of boils called carbuncles. In severe cases, boils may develop to form abscesses as well.
Treatment of Boils
There are several medicine used for the treatment of the disease. The person who is suffering from the mentioned symptoms should use the concerned medicine.
Anthracinum 30: This medicine is useful for big boils or carbuncles, which occur one after another, causing intolerable burning and giving off thick, dark, bloody, offensive discharge. This medicine often follows Arsenic 30 as well.
Arsenic 30: This medicine should use for pus-filled boils, with severe burning and itching. The discharge from the burst boil has a foul, cadaveric odour. Restlessness, fear and physical prostration are other features of this medicine.
Belladonna 30: Boils resembling eruptions of measles. The skin around the boils is shining-red, hot and burning. There is severe throbbing pain in the boil, which worsens on touch but lessens from warm applications. Belladonna should be thought of, before pus has formed.
Hepar sulph 30: Boils with severe splinter-like pain and sensitiveness where the victim cannot even bear the touch of clothes are the important symptoms for using the medicine Hepar sulph 30. On bursting, the boil discharges thick pus, smelling like old cheese. Intolerance of cold weather or foods, an unhealthy skin and profuse sour perspiration are other features of this remedy as well.
Silicea 30: This medicine is useful for maturing a boil so that it bursts open. Unhealthy skin i.e. every little injury suppurating, intolerance of cold weather but a liking of cold drinks and food or ice-cream and obstinate constipation i.e. the stool receding back after coming out are other pointers to this remedy.
Tarentula cub 30: This medicine is used for big, burning, painful boils or carbuncles with red-purple skin.
