V. or Gurusai Datt is a potential badminton player from India and trains at the Hyderabad`s Gopichand Badminton Academy and is supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a not-for-profit foundation to identify and support Indian athletes. He was the winner of the gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Early Life of Gurusai Datt
Gurusai Datt took up badminton as a sporting career after he watched Pullela Gopichand in action in the year 2001, at All England champion, play at a local stadium. In 2005, Datt also won the sub-junior national doubles title and also qualified for the sub-junior ABC Championships. This actually provided him with the required imputes to focus entirely on this sport. He started his training with Gopichand.

Career of Gurusai Datt
Gurusai Datt first appeared in the international circuit in the boy`s double category at the World Junior Championships in the year 2006. He represented India at various levels, but failed to win a single match against opponents from Thailand. Gurusai Datt won the 2007 Andhra Pradesh Senior Badminton Championships after defeating the top seed - his first title. He played a vastly superior and controlled game and he looked the better player.

International Career of Gurusai Datt
Gurusai Datt received the gold medal at the 2008 BWF World Junior Championships that were held in the Indian city of Pune. Gurusai Datt was National junior champion from India, and also won 2008 Dutch Junior International held in Haarlem. He was the first Indian to win the same. This was actually seen as a bright chance for India at the 2008 Commonwealth Games.

With this tremendous form, Datt won singles title at the Commonwealth Youth Games and Bahrain International Challenge badminton by the end of 2008. In the year 2009, he reached the quarterfinals of 2009 Denmark Super Series.

In the year 2010, Gurusai Datt represented India at the South Asian Games. He not only won the silver medal in the singles event but also the gold medal in the team event category
