Location of Guhagar
Guhagar of Maharashtra is located at about 17.47 degree north to 13.2 degree East longitude. It has an average elevation of 10 metres. It is surrounded by an area called "Kokan" The nearest city and railhead is Chiplun, which is 44 kilometres away from Guhagar.

Demography of Guhagar
According to the Population Census in the year 2001, Guhagar had a population of 3205. The male population in Guhagar of Maharashtra constitute 52 percent of the population and female population in Guhagar constitute 48 percent of the total population. The economy of Guhagar is boomed after the establishment of Dabhol Power Company. Dabhol Power Company is located at about a few kilometres north and was commissioned in the early 1990s. Soon, Guhagar became the spot of tourist importance and the eco-tourism area. The hotels sprung up and residents were given well-paid jobs in this region.
