Ganguvarpatti is a panchayat town situated in the Theni district in the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. The Ganguvarpatti town is divided into 15 wards. The town is administered by the Ganguvarpatti Town Panchayat. The official language of the town is Tamil. The town receives majority of its rainfall during the Southwest monsoon.

As per 2001 India census, the town had a population of 10,569 of which males were 51% and females were 49%. In the town, 13% of the population was under 6 years of age. On the basis of the report of the same year, the town had an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy was 67% and female literacy was 47%.

Economy of Ganguvarpatti
The backbone of the town is agriculture and most of the residents cultivate paddy, sugarcane, cotton, etc. The Manjalar and Vaigai rivers cross this village. This water is the main source of cultivation throughout the year. Apart from this, they depend on monsoon rain. In addition to agriculture, people are engaged in work or business activity.
