It lies close to Tirur. Smooth sand covers the beach and the dense vegetation of the region exhibits various shades of green. Over the sea water, silver clouds keep on hovering around. The exotic Collinpur beach also features a thick veil of palm groves. It is also popularly called Sunset Bay.

Collinpur beach is U-shaped and is frequented by picnickers. The mesmerizing blend of plush green tropical forests and knotted trunks of ancient trees makes the place very scenic and provides a beautiful backdrop to the azure waters splashing over the shore. The landscapes and tranquillity of Collinpur beach renders an unforgettable experience to the tourists.

Owing to the shallow waters, Collinpur beach is suitable for swimming too. Basking in the sun and watching the sunset are some of the cherished activities at the beach. The beach is a wonderful escape into the arms of nature leaving behind the hustles of city life. The beach is quite secluded and is thus perfect for spending a relaxing time. At both ends of this small beach, there are Japanese World War 2 bunkers.

Visiting Information
Collinpur beach lies at a distance of 40 kilometres from Port Blair and has a well connectivity of roadways. In winters, the place can be best enjoyed from December to February whereas during summers, the ideal time is from March to mid May. Port Blair is the nearest airport to reach Collinpur beach from where private cars and local buses can be hired.
