Cherukuri Lenin is a famous personality in the field of archery. He was born in Andhra Pradesh.

Cherukuri Lenin, Indian ArcherCherukuri Lenin is a popular name in the field of archery in India. He was born in the year 1983 in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He however died of a sudden road accident on 24th October in the year 2010. He was a qualified Indian archer and also a coach. He was the son of Cherukuri Satyanarayana.

Lenin`s other wards Chittibomma Jignas won a silver medal in the men`s compound category in the CWG along with seasoned archer Chinna Raju Srither.

Lenin, who retired from the sport around two years ago, had won many medals in national and international events, including in the Asian Archery competitions.

He had been running the "Volga Archery Academy" at Vijayawada in memory of his sister Volga. Volga, who was also an archer, died in a road accident around five years ago.

Lenin, son of Krishna District Archery Association founder President Cherukuri Satyanarayana, has been involved in producing and encouraging many national and international archers through the Volga Archery Academy.

He is National Archery Coach under Limba Ram. His students Ritul Chatterjee and Chittibomma Jignas won silver medal in the Archery compound team event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Delhi.

He died at the age of 26 years in a Road accident near Ibrahimpatnam on Sunday 24 October 2010.

* He won gold medal in Asian Championship in Delhi.
* He won silver medal at the Asian Grand Pix in Bangkok in 2006.
